The Ballad hull is solid GRP, with a lead ballast encapsulated keel. The deck is a GRP sandwich moulding, with a smooth inner skin forming the headlining. Fin and Skeg design.
About 1,500 Ballads were built, and many have made long offshore passages, including at least one circumnavigation.
Ballads are both fast for their size and seaworthy, and have a reputation for good, predictable handling.

Broker's Comments

A well presented example of this Albin Ballard with the benefit of a lovely new engine in 2009. She is neat and tidy and has obviously been loved and cared for by the current owner for the past 30 years. She has adequate navigation equipment and the sails appears to be serviceable. With comfortable accommodation for four adults and six with a pinch. She is a well built fast cruising yacht capable of making a serious passage or just taking out for a day sail. The current owner has sailed her to the Scilly Isles, the English Channel and other voyages but time has caught up with him.
She has recently been re-launched after the winter layup, freshly anti-foul painted and ready for the season.
