A Flute de l’Orcq built in 1882 by the Lizy sur Ourcq yard for the narrow guage Paris Canals network of commercial waterways. The network of commercial waterways built by Napoleon and still administered by the “Ville de Paris.” This rare example of Paris canal history has been very professionally converted to a residential barge by a retired French boatman. Take a good look at the photos and see for yourself. A little gem of French canal history.

A live aboard cruising barge very professionally converted by a retired bargee with all the equipment and machinery of it’s big brothers. A powerful Iveco main engine, 2000 litres diesel, 2000 litres water and a 5Kva generator ensures autonomy and at just 15m long she’s a real go anywhere little barge. As the “front room” has yet to be furnished it could serve as a big bedroom with king size double, a saloon with sofa bed or bunks for the kids! 12 persons authorised a board so a real “Swiss knife” of a little boat for cruising holidays, a “pad in Paris” or year round live aboard barge.
