Day 2 and racing proper today.

Toughing in out in amongst the celebrities and the sunshine the Boatshed team have been out to capture some of the action of the event on the water today.

Out on the water - 3 meter swell and 15 to 20 knots of wind was forecast, but to be honest it feels more than this when the big swells come dashing by and you definitely need to heed that old saying " one hand for you and one hand for the boat"
No cameras lost overboard however and our vessel for the day was a 60 foot catamaran, thanks to Captain Morgan (seriously!) we managed to get right up close to the fleet as some of the pics and video show you.

We had a fantastic 4 hours out on the water with about 12 other Canadian and USA cruising sailors, as usual Neil talked Boatshed for most of the trip back and so hopefully we might get some nice cruising boats to sell too.

Next stop is today's prize giving and as Sponsors of the event we also get to attend the obligatory rum sampling session from our new pals at Mount Gay.

Hopefully conditions tomorrow will be similar according to the forecast and we looking forward to hopefully getting out again to see more of the action.

Big shout out and thank you to Captain Morgan and his crew on the catamaran for taking us along. Cheers Morgan :)

Antigua Classics is an amazingly broad church bringing together multi-million dollar vintage beauties varnished to mirrored perfection with 1960s ocean racers and, at the other end of the scale, the Carriacou Sloops. That's the magic of it. If you put only one international regatta on your bucket list, make it this one.
