Pitch pine planking on oak frames. Beautifully constructed with an extremely tucked stern and concave bow sections. This entire 34 foot boat is constructed without a single plank butt other than at the prop shaft stern tubes. New sister oak frames have been added to the tuck of the bilge, aft port & starboard. The deck is new, epoxy/glass sheathed marine grade ply over new maple planking which is visable on the interior. This deck structure is now ready for planking in teak or other choice of wood. The original deck planks were a soft yellow pine.

Brooke Marine of Lowestoft, England, are responsible for this lovely twin screw motor cruiser. Research shows they have an enviable history of boat and yacht building. Their customers were wealthy families, the military and individuals campaigning record-breaking race boats. Brooke Marine, founded in 1874 was finally wound up in 1993.

The boat for sale here is incredibly rare and I would challenge anyone to find another.

She has been gradually worked on over the last five years to ensure the main structure and mechanical components are sound and she is now ready for finishing.

The completion will require a new interior, finishing deck planking, floorboards and other details. This work is open to personal preference and the attached photos show two preliminary layouts.

Once completed, this boat would be perfect for the Italian Lakes, Henley, South of France or equally, back at home on the Broads.

From the architect who penned her lines to the craftsmen who curved her planks and built her, one can only have respect.

We at Boatshed Falmouth have a real enthusiasm for classic boats and in our opinion, this very stylish old girl is right up there with the best of them.

Currently lying in Cornwall.
