A defined "cruising speed" as stated above is a bit of a misnomer. Thanks to the unique hull design and powerful propulsion the boat cruises very well at any speed up to its max speed. Unlike conventional semi-displacement hulls or planing hulls there is no awkward speed to avoid.

Electrical bow thruster and hydraulic stern thruster.

The hull design of the Camano 31 is unique and well regarded for its stability, seaworthiness and efficiency. The deep, hollow v shaped keep provides about 25% of the hull's displacement and above displacement speeds helps lift the stern so the water runs cleanly off the transom, thus maintaining a more linear speed-fuel relationship. The Keel form hull is that engine is mounted in the keel lowering the center of gravity. Boat heel is very little even in tight turns. Prop and rudder are protected by a skeg.
The exceptionally large window area is subdivided into enough segments that structural rigidity maintained.
Solid hand laid fiberglass below the waterline, with foam coring above the waterline. Extensive use of sound deadening material is used in the cabin floor, creating unusually quiet operation.

The Camano 31 has list of features that aren't commonly found on other small trawlers. It has a spacious flybridge with three pedestal seats - each with a panoramic view. There is room on the flybridge to store extra gear or coolers and this vessel has a cooler and storage box for life jackets. The cockpit has high gunwales for safety and a transom door for ease of boarding. The cockpit works well for fishing activities or enjoying the view from a deck chair.
Enter the saloon through the sturdy door, and you may be surprised to find more interior space that you would expect. The carpeted sole gives the interior a warm, inviting feeling and the 360 degree windows let in plenty of natural light. On the portside is a built-in L-shaped dinette that converts to a double berth. You can see out the saloon windows while seated at the dinette - which is an important design that many other manufacturers overlook. The lower helm is on the starboard side - it has great visibility because of its forward location and many owners use it as their primary helm. To save space, Camano provided a folding helm seat that can be stored out of the way when you want more saloon space at your destination.

Down two steps and to the port-side is the fully equipped galley, featuring a refrigerator/freezer combo, built in microwave, stainless sink, and three burner propane stove/oven.

Across from the galley is the head/shower compartment. The head is an electric flush model , and the shower head pulls out from the sink.

Forward of the head and galley is the V-berth. It has 6'5" of sleeping room and comfortably accommodates two adults.

A perfect cruiser for a couple or small family with sleeping for four.

Come and see why the Camano has such a strong following!

Broker's Comments

The Camano 31 Trawler is well known with her keelform hull, sturdy construction, and a large flybridge; as such they have earned a reputation as a very capable small cruising trawler.

Camano owners will tell you they choose the 31 over other boats due to the safety factor, the economy of operation, low exterior maintenance and comfort of a big boat feel and the ease for one person to handle.

This boat has had significant interior updates to its interior, and has other special features including a hydraulic stern thruster and a cockpit cover with full enclosure. Recent price reduction makes this vessel is priced to sell!
