A classic in the making ? possibly so Camper & Nicholsons have a good reputation for sturdy build and at least one of these type has circumnavigated. One of the new generation of plastic boats then, that are now excepted as the main stream construction methods, were curtailed at about 150 examples due the the cost of production. Built between 1966 and 1973 the design was originally as a motor sailer, which shows through in the mid cockpit and port side helm, yet the sailing characteristics I have been told are very good indeed, particularly for a Ketch. This can best be described as an original example, the mizzen mast has been replaced (Procter) we believe the main mast to be the original Sparlight, all the basic sailing equipment looks in okay order, halyards, sails, winches etc, so can be sailed away, it would also make an excellent project for those enthusiasts that might like to refurb to a condition of classic beauty, whilst still being able to get time on the water. The yacht is realistically priced for the year and condition.
