Broker's Comments
Want an opportunity to own one of the most popular sailboats ever built?
The Catalina 30 is possibly the most successful design Frank Butler ever put to paper and created. This boat model is in the sailing hall of fame with over 9000 of these boats built, you really can't go wrong.
I personally own a Catalina 30 and can attest to that this design is very forgiving and fast. This is stiff boat in a blow. Perfect for the young family or starter sailor/cruiser who wants to have a maintainable, boat where parts and support are readily available virtually everywhere.
It is a delight to sail and easy to handle even as a single-hander. I had mine out in 15 knots of wind making nearly 6 knots to windward, and even sailed through storms alone and configured her for rough weather without any crew.
Cabin space? This boat has the largest cabin of any 30 foot sailboat in class! A nice wide beam and large open companionway gives this boat a roomy, open feel that larger boats don't even have.
The tall rig will give this boat extra performance and the shallow draft wing keel will allow you to sail in the "Skinny" waters in the Gulf Coast!
Don't let this classic pass you by!
