The owner doesn't know her precise age, but thinks it was around the mid-seventies. Her hull was modified in 1990.

The boat has a round bilge with a full length shallow keel and bilge keels. Her hull has been extended outwards from the original moulded hull a foot or so at deck level. This has extended her from 22’ / 6.7m to 25’ / 7.6m. The new topsides are GRP and are braced off the original hull with GRP frames which are through fastened and laminated in position. She has a full survey from July last year which goes into detail on this work.

Broker's Comments

Cute little vessel this, looks like she’d be very much at home in a children’s book about the adventures of a little boat and her friends – the nautical equivalent of “Thomas the Tank Engine” or Horace the Helicopter." She looks so friendly and helpful that you almost expect her to say "How do you do?" before you step aboard!

She’d be ideal for pottering about the Solent or the East Coast – but don’t be deceived - the present owner motored her round from Padstow to her present home, so she is eminently seaworthy!

Colvic have a reputation for good, well made, seamanlike hulls, and you’ve only got to take one look at her to realise how sturdy she is. She has all the facilities you need, decent forecabin, galley, fridge, comfy saloon. Not large, but its all there.

She has had her topsides professionally modified so she is now 7.6m (25ft), and the surveyor who checked her over in July 2010 found the work had been carried out “in a methodical manner and to a satisfactory standard.” This is surveyor-speak for “she looks mighty fine to me!”

This modified Colvic 22 is afloat in Langstone Harbour and available to view, access is easy, and she is for sale with Boatshed Port Solent.
