construction

GRP construction with Full-displacement underwater profile, gelcoat finish
Heavily-built to Lloyd's specifications at the famous Colvic yard in Essex, England. Solid fiberglass hull, deck and superstructure. She has round bilges for a seakindly motion with a full-length keel protecting her large rudder and prop.

Fuel tankage is in three tanks -- two main fuel tanks of 265 US gallon capacity total, plus a 30 gallon day tank. At 7 knots, unaided by sails this should provide a safe 1200 nm range. The original owner of this boat transited from the Azores to Florida without supplementary fuel -- 3000 nm -- under power and aided by sails.

You easily board this yacht via port or starboard double opening doors into the warm and dry pilot house. There are two built-in helm seats and also a leather fill-in cushion that turns it into a pilot bench / berth! With large windows, this is a bright and airy place to sit and enjoy a passage or just hang out in port!

From the pilot house it is two steps down to the private aft master cabin. This cozy cabin features an athwartships queen berth, large tiled head compartment with shower, a large hanging locker, and built-in storage drawers.

Proceeding back up to the wheelhouse you then continue forward and down the companionway to the very spacious main saloon. You will notice at once the warm teak joinery and parquet floors. To your immediate right is a large built in desk with file cabinets and drawers, perfect for that seagoing home office.

To port is the large U-shaped galley. It features lots of storage and counter space for creating wonderful meals. Ahead to port is the settee with seating for six across from the full length sofa/pilot berth.

Continue forward to the bow cabin. Designed as a spacious live-aboard / passage maker for two, the original owners wisely ditched the dreaded vee berth and designed a very useful single cabin with full head including shower. A very large hanging locker and another large opening locker under the berth swallows all your stuff for a long cruise or live aboard.

This is a beautiful yacht-quality interior that is a warm and functional home at sea or in port.

This Colvic Fisher 36 is presently undergoing a full refurbishment of her bottom to remedy all blister problems. She is only intermittently available for viewing and only with an appointment in advance.

This is a properly-built English small ship with proven ocean crossing capability. The perfect yacht for exploring the Inside Passage or heading offshore. Designed to be easily handled by a couple, she has spacious live aboard capability combined with tremendous storage for long duration cruising. Heavily built to Lloyds specifications. Designed to handle the waters of the North Sea, she is safe, dry and comfortable in a blow.

With the space and performance of a trawler and the unlimited range of a sailboat she is the best of both worlds. Perfect for a cruising sailing couple ready to rely more on the engine, but still wanting the ability to switch to sail when the urge hits.

In amazing condition for her age, and kept bristol by her present owner she is a remarkable value. Her fair market value is well over $150k with the new engine. On her last haulout non-structural blisters were discovered. The present owner has figured in a very generous reduction in price to repair these cosmetic blisters. These have been investigated and while not structural they should be ground out and the bottom epoxy barrier coated before she leaves on her next world cruise.

Overall length of this vessel is 39'.
