Broker's Comments

Great name, Dufour are known for their well designed, safe, roomy cruisers and racers, and you can see where they get it from – this 1976 Dufour 29 pushes all the right buttons!

She is getting on a bit folks, 1976 was a while ago now, but she wears her maturity well, and down below you’ll be pleasantly surprised. She is clean and tidy, no rainwater in there, and when I turned on the battery everything sprang into reassuring life!

Plenty of room, decent berths, good sized heads, a chart table, what more could you want for under £12k?

On deck she is pretty standard, no surprises, but a handy anchor locker and the cockpit lockers are very good indeed.

Her hull could do with a bit of a wash and brush-up. Her last trip was up through the French canals, so her paintwork has taken a couple of superficial knocks and scrapes, but that is only to be expected on that journey!

Well worth coming to see her, she looks pretty sound to me and of course her engine was replaced in 2003, so there’s plenty of life in the old girl yet!
