A genuine 1913 Dutch barge which the owners brought back from Holland recently. Within the last year the entire bottom up to 20cm above the waterline has been replated in 10mm steel and a DAF engine has been installed. There is some original build documentation as well as invoices for the recent work.
This barge, although wide beam, is of a size to travel on many of our canals. The present owners have carried out some work in converting the boat to live aboard but there is much yet to do. Whilst not a total project the amount of restoration of the interior should not be underestimated however for someone with the desire to create their own space this craft offers a sound basis to do so.
