construction

Steel construction with Full-displacement underwater profile, paint finish
Superbly and strongly constructed for the Navy as an Arduous Duties Work Boat. The hull is steel and has been shot blasted and had two coats of two pack epoxy applied. The hull has protective wooden cladding inside. The forward deck has an access hatch to a storage compartment - requires Houdyni skills to enter. The boat is designed to remain completely stable with "positive freeboard" ( this is a good thing) when completely flooded with seawater. Built at huge expense to MOD requirements

Accommodation

Handbasin 0
Shower 0
The cabin is forward of the wheel house and access is through a double locking watertight door. There is no access from the cabin to the wheelhouse. Dark hardwood finish in here to make the officers feel at home and separated from the skipper. Plenty of space to convert. The super structure is aluminium.

This boat has a huge pedigree being designed and built by the now defunct Fairey Marine. Only the Navy could request this type of specification - its not as if this boat was ever going to go into battle. In fact, the boat looks barely used. With her superb seagoing hull, she would make a great work boat - or if you wanted a project, convert her to a live aboard/offshore cruiser.

Currently lying in Cornwall.
