Broker's Comments

When I first saw this boat at the mooring I thought what a very tidy boat for a fishing vessel. This has been in private hands with the present owner for 7 years. having carried out alot of work to a high standed. This is now in the 4th ownership having been built for Sealink Ferries as a work boat out of Portsmouth Harbour during the 1970's. This could be used for various uses like Fishing, Charter Work or even a Trip boat in the UK or even abroad. It has a large open , none cluttered deck area with good solid guardails and deck access. The owner tells me that as a family fishing boat he has been about 50 mile offshore on various trips in some heavy seas, and it just kept going, in which he felt very safe. A very nice touch was the Anchor locker where by the chain & warp was collected in a plastic drum with a exit hole at the bottom for the halyard conection to the anchor point which could be cut in an emergency. The engine room was well laid out with plenty of extra stowage and you could access all the serviceing parts with ease. The bilges had very little water in them which, for a wooden boat is healthy and they were clean with no signs of oil or fuel leakage.
I can't praise this boat enough from the looks to the hidden workmanship. The timber would cost the earth (If you could obtain it) but the asking price is realistic to which a viewing is a MUST!
