These triple 275 HP Verado engines are outstanding! I have owned a pair myself. Not only are they fast, reliable, and quiet, but they are also extremely fuel efficient.

This boat will top out around 72 MPH fully loaded and cruise at roughly 54 MPH.

Fountains are built to take the seas well, so higher wave conditions should not slow you down too much.
