Broker's Comments
The Grand Soleil 40 made its debut in 2000 as a very high performance cruiser/racer from the respected del Pardo yard in Italy - and went on to become World and European IMS Champion in Class C2.
This boat is the Race model with the higher performance Sports rig and its 3 sets of spreaders. It is also worth noting that the fully battened main and the headsail were new in 2008, and the tri-radial spinnaker is 2006.
Her layout is the 3 double cabin (4th double berth in the saloon) with 2 heads. And, as with the entire Grand Soleil range, her performance is greatly enhanced by a hot galvanised steel structure as part of her hull which gives excellent stiffness and a uniform distribution of stress from the keel, mast and shrouds. (She also looks great and particularly benefits from a very pretty blue hull!)
She appears in very good condition and has been professionally maintained, with all maintenance documented.
She is being sold with a comprehensive inventory, along with all the basic kit for 8 people, although she could be easily handled by just 2.
