I'm often asked to advise people on their first boat; this Islander 23 ticks most of the boxes. From its budget price to its forgiving handling and ability to take the ground unaided this boat really does fit the bill for a budget cruiser/weekender.
As with many boats at this time of year her decks look a bit green, varnish-work tired and topsides faded, however a weekend spent tidying her up before the next season is all that's required. On the upside, this boat has many extras that aren't usually found on boats of this length, including a remote wheel steering position.
