The Jeanneau Sun 2500 was designed by Olivier Petit as a fast small coastal cruiser and introduced to the market in 2005. The lift keel does not intrude into the cabin, being a GRP centreboard operating within an external iron keel stub. The centreboard is hinged on a stainless steel pivot with nylon bushes. It operates by S/S wire and rope tail, running up the king post through the deck to the starboard coachroof winch. The lines on this vessel are very pleasing, with a good sized cockpit and uncluttered decks.

With twin rudders, which also give good control even when heeled, this keel configuration also allows the boat to dry out level, supported on the keel stub and rudder tips. Although designed to dry, she would not be suitable for regular use on exposed drying moorings.
This vessel is anti-fouled and ready to go.

The wide transom allows for a large double berth aft, and a spacious cockpit. The interior is so well designed, with sensible sized saloon which converts into an ample double berth, a nav station, galley and heads. Clean and uncluttered but still there is a feeling of luxury too. The attention to detail is excellent as you will see from the photographs.

Broker's Comments

These boat details are subject to contract.
This Jeanneau Sun 2500 is a stunning example. 'Practical Boat Owner' magazine have described the Sun 2500 as having ".... sufficient power to make rapid coastal passages, while it's centreplate reduces its draught to 0.68 metres when you want to creep up a creek". The Sun 2500 performs really well too for boat for her size, the RYA racing handicap numbers quoted for 2012 are on a parr with the Beneteau Firsts of 24 and 25 ft designed as club racers, and faster than a British Hunter 26 or 27.This is a fabulously designed boat and will interest cruiser/racer enthusiasts alike. Clean lines, pretty vessel, immaculately presented by her fastidious owner too. The white hull is the favoured option because it lessens hull polishing too. The best example of its type that I have seen.
