Manitou Pontoon boats has made its Australian debut at the Melbourne Boat Show (26-29 October 2023).

Showcasing the three Explore 22 MAX Manitou models (Bench, Switchback and Navigator) for the first time in Australia, parent company Bombardier Recreational Products’ (BRP) business strategy manager Garrett Koschak says: “First founded in 1986 in North America, the brand has moved mountains in the marine industry with innovation. Amidst redefining the boating industry, one thing has stayed constant; the passion to create a high-quality, attainable pontoon boat.

“With its legacy, Manitou has established a world-class reputation of innovation and design that elevates the on-water experience. A legacy that will now be shared with Australia as we endeavour to further elevate the industry, challenge norms, and break ground on a global scale; showcasing the full potential of the boating lifestyle to the world.”

The three Manitou models are said to be thoughtfully designed and configured to accommodate families, and extended families, and will be available in the Australian market through a select range of certified dealers.

Earlier this year (2023), Manitou Pontoon boats was awarded the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) Innovation Award in the Pontoon Boat category.

In April (2023), Canadian BRP opened a European design and innovation centre in Sophia Antipolis, France which it says will play a major role in its global electrification strategy.
