Broker's Comments

"Selene's" keel was laid in 1936, together with three identical little yachts. The 4
hulls were finished in 1937, but the build was then slopped due to production for
the Royal Navy for the 2.d World War effort, Fitting out and launch were not until
summer 1946. The original drawings and materials lisb aie from February 1936.
"Selene" is the sister ship of the fa$ous "Felicity Ann", who was sailed across the
Atlantic Ocean in 1952/53 single-handedly by Mrs. Ann Davidson. She was the
fi$l woman to do so. Three of the boats a-re still around, one was destroyed by fire.
