Throughout their history Monk 36s have been solidly constructed of hand-laid fiberglass and resin, with solid laminate hulls, and cored decks and superstructure.

Designed by naval architect Edwin Monk Sr. with classic lines and higher bow with more flare and more angle to the stem than her competitors. In addition, he incorporated a molded-in forward chine to prevent the bow wave from climbing up the hull sides. These design changes result in less sea spray onto the foredeck and flybridge and a dryer ride.

Forward stateroom with vee berth, including custom mattress, generous drawer and locker storage, opening port lights and opening hatch overhead. Ensuite head to port with vanity, sink, toilet and shower. Up three steps to the saloon with lower helm to starboard, port and starboard sliding doors to side decks and L-shaped settee with table. Galley aft to starboard across from the settee. Down three steps to the aft stateroom with queen berth and custom mattress. Generous drawer and locker storage and ensuite head with vanity, sink, toilet and tub/shower. Teak and holly cabin sole throughout. Very Nice!
