This traditional 42 ft Narrowboat has all you would expect to spend long spells on board in front of the wood burner with pipe and slippers reading a favourite novel.... Ah well......Back to the boat, she has a new diesel engine fitted in 2008 which runs supremely well, the gearbox is silky smooth so mechanically she appears to be in very good order. Internally there is a well equipped kitchen aft with a new 4 burner hop and built in double oven and a door to the aft deck and helm. Moving forward we have the saloon with a wood burner and back boiler that gives hot water both domestically and to the radiators. There is also a calorifier and an immersion heater. In the saloon is a large (and I mean large) bed settee which in my opinion takes up too much room, I much prefer the 2 armchairs image!! Forward from the saloon is a shower room and heads which then leads on to what I would consider to be the main bedroom fwd. The companionway leads to the fwd deck which is protected by a new cratch cover.
The boat has a full BSC until March 2014. She is priced to sell quickly due to a sudden change in circumstances for the current owner who paid £15,500 for her only weeks ago. (9th Feb)
All was looking good......That was until Thursday the 17th of march when the boat was surveyed on behalf of a client and it did not fair well, it seems we have more than one boat here! Please ask me to email you a copy of the report before you get too excited !!
There is welding/plating recommended but the cost (c.£2000 still makes her a worthwhile proposition long term.
