Boat maintenance company boatcare has launched a new technical centre at Conwy Marina. The centre represents a £600,000 investment and can accommodate vessels of up to 14 metres. The firm says this allows it to offer weatherproof services at Conwy for the first time.

“We are delighted with the new technical centre, which has been introduced after listening to the local boating community to anticipate their maintenance needs,” says Jon Roberts, Conwy marina manager. “It will enable us to offer a larger scope of work with the boats being inside and sheltered. Bringing this facility to Conwy is testament to our continued investment in the local area, and takes us a step closer to offering the all-inclusive service our boating customers require.”

boatcare says its investment into the service division signifies a commitment to enhancing expertise, efficiency, and customer satisfaction, propelling the boating business towards greater innovation and excellence on the water.

As part of boatfolk, boatcare has six service centres across the UK at Deacons, Haslar, Portland, Conwy, Portishead and Penarth Marinas. It’s an approved supplier of brands including Yanmar, Yamaha, Mercury, Harken, and Jefa Rudder systems, among others.

Services offered at the new Conwy facility include:
• Lift, launch and secure hardstanding
• Antifouling and copper coating
• Valeting and polishing
• Insurance approved
• GRP and gelcoat repairs
• Bow and stern thruster installations
• Engine installation, repair, and servicing
• Seacock and skin fitting replacement
