After spending six months in Denmark, we’re now once again back on the boat and ready to engage in new cruising adventures! From all at Boatshed, we wish you all a very, very, very merry Christmas.
From the start, Boatshed has always been about promoting and harnessing those family values that most boaters share; spending time together afloat with family and friends; owning a beloved boat that becomes part of the family; weekends spent at anchorages in hidden bays and coves; introducing children to the joys of boating and adventures at sea; the camaraderie that comes with Club and team racing events; endlessly fiddling with engines, warps, sheets and halyard in all types of weather and conditions, and the occasional, perfect, sunset reach or motor home after a fabulous boating trip!
If you fancy a dip in the sea at Christmas, you are either brave/daft or raising money for charity – after all who would want to leave the comfort of their over warm homes to jump into icy waters if it wasn’t for charity!?

If you've already tried your favourite canal market but are still looking for some inspiration for an original gift idea, here are eight suggestions from some narrowboat-based businesses.
Neil and Mandy drove to Southern Italy to investigate marina and potential Boatshed opportunities along the Bay of Naples as well as a host of other areas in Italy. Happy to report that large quantities of boats exist in marinas and yards, very often in poor condition looking to be sold. Brokerage facilities in Italy still require more transparency and many small brokers would fit the Boatshed network profile, ongoing discussions continue with a number of players in this area.
