Last weekend we decided to visit the London Boat Show. It was a late decision and also one that involved needing to find somewhere close by to stay. Whilst searching for hotels online we stumbled across the Sunborn Super yacht which lies just 2 minutes walk from the Excel entrance, London Docklands UK! If you are looking for somewhere different to stay I would thoroughly recommend it. It's perfect if you are visiting the boat show or just spoiling yourselves with a night or two away!

Prices vary depending on what room you select. we booked at £185 for a night. Our option didn't include breakfast.

There is something very exciting about leaving the DLR (transport system) and walking across the paved open area towards the Super yacht. The yacht looks impressive and whether you are booking a romantic get away for a loved one or just booking for the convenience of being next to the Boat Show, it's a great choice!

The floating hotel reception is also impressive with it's huge chandelier, glass and gold polished balustrades.

The rooms are also impressive, ours had a kingsize bed, Lavazza coffee machine and Molton Brown in the heads for our £185.

We visited the bar area for an aperitif, the bar was very busy but nothing was too much trouble for the staff. They rushed around finding us somewhere to sit and relax.
