129 Ohlson 38’s were built by the Tyler Boat Company in the UK and were available for purchase at various different stages of completion between 1969 and 1980. Tyler’s made the hull and the deck of this boat and her interior was fitted out by her owner. Internal lead semi long keel and water tanks directly above. Excellent sea stability and heave-to characteristics. Long overhangs give comfortable, cushioned, non-slam performance. The owner has also built a water proof "crash barrier" under the forepeak in case of colision. The hull finish is Imron 2 part polyurethane marine paint, over 2 part epoxy undercoat, over prepared gel coat completed USA 1998. The same year Anti-osmosis treatment was carried out, also in the USA.

Broker's Comments

This Ohlson 38 has had one owner since leaving England in 1978. Until 2004 she was the permanent home of the owner and builder and has covered many thousands of safe sea miles, including four transatlantic passages, thus proving the Ohlson 38’s great cruising capability. She was one of 50 boats sold for home completion by the Tyler Boat Company as the Tufglass 38 and every inch of her interior was lovingly and thoughtfully prepared for long term cruising. These boats are understandably very rarely on the market and this one is now seeking a new owner to enjoy her. This boat has been viewed and photographed by Lorien of Boatshed Broker.
