While not a first choice of yacht for ocean crossings she is an ideal family cruiser, well suited to coastal passages and cross channel hops. The Pioneer is remarkable for her spacious accomodation with the added benefit of indoor steering on this, the Pilot model. She has a roomy and airy main saloon and a separate aft cabin, so convenient for family sailing and almost unique in a twenty six footer.
