The undoubted star feature of this boat is its absolutely stunning Art-Deco style fit out in glowing timber.

Starting from the stern, the aft cabin has two single beds which also function as sofas. Shelves and cupboards. Doors to stern deck and wheelhouse.

The wheelhouse itself is a symphony of timber, with a bronze wheel. There is a conventional cable and chain linkage to the rudder. There are two seats and the wheelhouse is large enough to make a wonderful sitting area.

Down wooden stairs with cupboards to the side to a short companionway. There is a small bathroom with a basin and toilet. There is a tiled shower (in need of some work).

Next comes a galley kitchen with cooker, sink fridge and work surface to one side and an alcove with work surfaces and cupboards.

Next comes the splendid art-deco lounge with a large tinted skylight, diesel heater and a bed which folds down from a concealed position behind the panelling. There are plenty of shelve and cupboards as well as a desk.

Forward is a double bedroom with more wood panelled draws and cupboards,

Cabin heating is from the diesel heater and hot water is also from the diesel heater as well as from the engine calorifier or immersion heater on shore power.

Broker's Comments

A beautiful. purpose-built, live-board Dutch Barge with a well built hull, practical layout and one of the most eye-catching interiors I have seen.

Gleaming wood and art-deco styling add a luxury feel to a very practical layout. Three separate cabins plus a wheelhouse, kitchen and bathroom give plenty of living space for a couple or family.

There is even a concealed fold down bed in the saloon. The stern cabin could be used as a bedroom, spare room, sitting room or office.

The boat is heated by a superb diesel stove, which also provides hot water. There is a fantastic opening, dog-box style skylight which provides both light and ventilation.

The hull is protected by two-pack epoxy resin and the engine is a powerful 6 cylinder Perkins. This is a boat that would be at home on both the canals and rivers and a pleasure to own on either.
