The mooring is in a convenient, secure and pleasant location in Hertford, a pretty old market
town, north of London, on the River Lea. It is a two minute walk to Hertford East train
station (direct trains to central London). The A10 is a two minute drive away and a further
twenty minutes to North London. Next to the train station is a 24hour Tesco.
The town centre is a pretty, five minute, walk along the tow-path where one can find a
Waitrose store; the Public Library; the Castle; a theatre; a leisure-centre; boutiques and
shops; excellent pubs and restaurants. There are NHS Dentists; Doctors’ Surgeries; and a
small General Hospital.
Opposite the mooring is a large park, situated over the bridge. This leads to woodland and a
nature reserve, which can also be reached by a short walk downriver. There are many nice
walks and this is a beautiful cruising area.
The marina has private parking, power, telephone line, Elsan point and rubbish disposal. Rent £210 per month.
The boat is a superb live-aboard with plenty of space, a spare room, washing machine etc. It is ready to move into and easily commutable to London ( Liverpool St approx 50 mins)
