Broker's Comments

Little weekender 'Character Yachts' are truly in a world of their own! They appeal to dreamers who relish the solitude that mud berths, creeks and drying harbours can afford. They are inexpensive to own and run and can offer more than twice the fun, with less than half the headaches, that larger yachts might provide. True, you might not want to venture far offshore (although some intrepid souls have even crossed oceans in similar) anyway, one bit of sea looks pretty much like any other in my opinion!
No; these yachts are for enjoying the sailing rather than the addition of gadgets that might be purchased at great expense. They are for dropping the hook in sheltered and 'secret' havens and watching the curlews and sandpipers. For having a brew and a snooze before returning to the hurly burly of 'marina world' and basking in the comments of envious owners, those perhaps saddled with expensive complications, who murmur wistfully "my, what a pretty boat, and so sensible too!". This little beauty has a good motor which starts at the touch of a button, a good suit of sails and is in commission and ready to enjoy now since advancing years and health issues prompt regretful sale. Marina berth would be available to purchaser by seperate contract.
