Broker's Comments

The advantages of a centre wheel house. You do not need to wear your 'round the world heavy oilies' when it’s pouring with rain or blowing half a gale, you can helm from the comfort of the wheelhouse and whilst moored up in the rain, you can watch those poor souls who don’t have a wheelhouse. For the sunnier days there is a wheel in the cockpit. It is obvious that this vessel has had little use since new. Internally she is in excellent condition for her age. Although the sails and engine are original, they look less than a decade old because for most of her life she has been on her marina berth in the summer months and stored ashore for the rest of the time.
She has just been cleaned and polished externally and the rubbing strake has been teak oiled.
The Southerly range of yachts are well built quality vessels, giving the advantage of drying out in harbours, beaches and rivers. The shallow draft will allow you to explore up rivers or creeks yet with her keel down she is stiff and a fast passage maker.
