This year, St Katharine Docks Marina has a new event on its horizon. To end a week of D-Day 80th commemorations, on 8 and 9 June, a ‘Special Services Weekend’ will showcase special waterborne services and vessels along the Thames and beyond.

Visitors are invited to the historic centre basin of St Katharine Docks and the marina events pontoon to meet representatives from the from the Royal Navy, the Marine Policing Unit (MPU), Border Force and more as they bring awareness to their vital roles. Most importantly it will be a chance to discover the vital working vessels and their custodians.

The Royal Navy will be in attendance with one of its Archer Class P2000 fast patrol boats. The MET Marine Police Unit at Wapping will also be in attendance with one of its Targa patrol motorboats.
