Marina operator and owner Suntex Marina Investors has expanded its Florida presence with the acquisition of Mariner’s Cove Marina in Gulfport, Florida.

Founded in 1976, Mariner’s Cove is an established dry-stack marina minutes away from the Gulf of Mexico. It is located on Boca Ciega Bay, around 30 minutes from Tampa.

“We pride ourselves in having a diverse portfolio of locations tailored to match the specific boating needs of our guests across the country,” says Rich Carter, COO of Suntex Marinas.

“Mariner’s Cove is an acclaimed dry-stack marina prized by a loyal following, with customers who have been coming back for decades. We are positive that by adding the Suntex core values to Mariner’s high-touch heritage, we will only heighten the guest experience.”

Offering high and dry slips, Mariner’s Cove is equipped with a fueling station, parking, a fish cleaning station and all aluminium floating docks for easy boarding.

In 2022, Suntex Marina Investors completed its integration with Westrec Marinas following the announcement of the two companies’ merger.

Suntex has expanded rapidly across the US in recent years, with numerous marina acquisitions. The Suntex portfolio now includes marinas located in Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, Texas, Tennessee and Virginia.
