Broker's Comments

The Ron Holland design Swan 42 was built between 1980 and 1985, with only 38 hulls built. This 42 has been with the current owner for 15 years, and is being sold to fund a new business. Much has been kept at or above specs on her, with features such as new fridge and freezer units; a very efficient Hurricane Hydronic heater; 2 one year old, 90W solar panels; and all interior lighting ungraded to LED technology, which is very low on power draw. Along with her upgrades, she has also had recent servicing on her Reckman furler, and a major overhaul on her engine.

She had been used as a live-aboard, and has also had great success in regattas between the East Coast US, and the Caribbean, exactly what Swans do best. She was built in 1982, but with a paint job on her topsides in 2008, she looks great. To aid keeping cool in the hot weather, she has a new custom wind-scoop for the forward cabin.

Other new features include a new aft cockpit table, for alfresco dining, and a new large hatch in the aft cockpit for easy communications.

With all these new features on a beautiful yacht built for both cruising and racing, this is a great opportunity to own a renowned sail boat at a really great price.
