This T27 is a medium displacement bemudan sloop with raked bow, transom stern with a fin and bulb keel and a skeg mounted rudder. The original plywood cockpit coamings have been replaced with GRP moulded coamings.

The accommodation, with ample storage throughout, comprises fore cabin with 2 single berths that can convert to a double V-berth. Moving aft, the heads lie to starboard with a wash basin and vanity unit to port. A curtain separates this area from the fore cabin and the heads door can positioned so as to close off the saloon from the forward accommodation.

The saloon comprises 2 single berths, (port berth has a trotter box), large 2 leaf table (which can be removed to gain access to bilge). There is a very small pilot berth to starboard which is currently used for storage. All the soft furnishings have been completely re-upholstered as part of the re-fit.

Broker's Comments

This Guy Thompson T27 is delight. These earlier GRP boats have a reputation for being solidly built and are just as capable of offshore cruising as they are local coastal day sailing. They are sea kindly with a deep and roomy cockpit and this boat has the added benefit of having all the control lines led aft, ideal for short handed sailing.

This T27 has undergone significant restoration during her current ownership and is now presented in very good order throughout. As with all boats of a certain age there will always be matters to attend to, however, all of the major work that you would expect on an older boat has been done; rigging, sails, engine, electrics and upholstery not to mention a refit to the galley and heads.

As an added bonus, winter storage and spring re-launch is included in the price which has now been significantly reduced.

I was very impressed with this boat and feel that she would make an ideal first boat for someone new to cruising. Interested? Then why not give us a call.

PLEASE NOTE: The inflatable tender as seen on some of the pictures may be available by separate negotiation.
