This boat is lying in central Bristol with a non-statutory RESIDENTIAL MOORING (annual mooring fees around £1400). Although she's in a state of disrepair and in need of complete external restoration and an internal refit. As well as new engines, sails and rigging; two ribs and the beam shaft need replacing. The heads, galley, cabins and saloon all need a complete renovation. To aid in the restoration the owner has a complete set of original plans, including layout and build details! See Yachting World (Rescuing Eilean, May 2008) for an article on the restoration of another 1934 Bermudian Ketch!
There are also several additional extremely good points, she is connected to shore power, with the possibility to connect to water and put in a telephone line. Other benefits of the mooring include a single car parking space alongside the boat, and use of clean and tidy heads including shower on the dock side exclusively for boat owners.
With the right amount of love and money, she will be a beautiful boat full of character! You can’t live in central Bristol cheaper!
