Exceptionally clean and well maintained example of this well-respected boat, built in 1984, which is ready to sail away immediately. The current owners have cruised in this Trapper 300 for the past 12 years, and during that time renewals have included: mast (Selden), genoa (Hood, Vectron), standing rigging, running rigging, rudder stock and bearings, windows, guardrails, stern gland, cutlass bearing, washboards (acrylic), all cushions, additional cushions to extend forecabin sleeping accommodation, cockpit sole inspection hatch (Bowmar), cooker, VHF, DSC, GPS (Garmin), SeaMe active radar enhancer, headsail furling gear (Furlex), cruising shute (Doyle), mainsail cover, sun awning, cockpit cover, Yeoman navigation system, conversion to 2 battery system with battery switch and charging optimising system. Additional improvements have included: all woodwork below decks sanded and re-varnished, mainsheet and genoa tracks re-bedded, stancions re-bedded with custom stainless steel sole plates, grabrails re-bedded, improved stainless steel forehatch handle fitted. Full professional epoxy treatment to hull by previous owner. Recent survey (June 2010) available on request.

The Trapper 300 was described as, 'A fast fun cruiser for less than £10000' in a recent (May 2009) review in Practical Boat Owner. Other extracts from the review, by David Harding, include: 'If you want a sporty and affordable second-hand 26-footer that also makes a great family cruiser, the Trapper 300 deserves some serious attention'; 'I have watched and photographed Trapper 300s racing and never seen them struggling. In fact they have always appeared to be well mannered even without large crews'; '..there's no denying that the Trapper 300 is a lot of fun to sail.'; 'She was light on the helm and delightfully responsive; one of all too few boats you want to sail for the pure fun of sailing.'; 'Despite her racy pedigree the Trapper appeals to people with no racing background who want a fast, inexpensive and well-mannered cruiser as well as to those who enjoy competitive sailing.'

There is an active owners association.
