Broker's Comments

This unique ocean cruiser was built in South Africa in 1998 and sailed to the UK in '99. This is a serious ocean cruiser - a very strong and stable boat with lovely lines and a large, uncluttered foredeck.

She's been left standing on her marina berth for too long and is in need of some love & affection - mostly cosmetic.

The current owner is a boatbuilder by trade and will continue to improve the boat until she is sold. He's in the process of stripping the paintwork down to bare metal, overhauling the entire steering system and re-varnishing the interior.

Now the good points. There's an extensive (and largely unused) sail wardrobe, the hull is in fine shape and the mast is sound. The wood used for the interior was Tamboti - a rare furniture timber used exclusively in very expensive furniture. It won't take much to get her ready for another ocean crossing and, for this price, she probably represents very good value for money.
