One of the first fiberglass Chris-Crafts, this 47 Commander was heavily built. Time and experience have proven that the methods and materials used in these early FRP boats endure exceptionally well.

2009 Survey reports "vessel is structurally sound throughout. It is being maintained in a professional manner with pride of ownership evident.... The vessel remains near original throughout.".

Gleaming mahogany cap rails and handrails accent this beauty -- brightwork has been professionally performed and maintained.

FRP decks. Epoxy bottom. Awlgrip-paintend hull and superstructure.

Moored under cover and in fresh water by the same owner for 30 years, and is reported to have been moored under cover during all of its previous ownership.

Broker's Comments

Price Reduced! A tremendous bargain for a great cruiser or live-aboard that you'd be proud to own. The seller will consider all offers -- he wants her sold now.

Chris-Craft 47 Commander...the name recalls the highest achievements of American motor yacht building. This beautiful Commander has received continuous loving care and protective storage throughout her life, and is ready to continue service as a glamorous and comfortable boat....perhaps for a family longing to make a yacht their home? Or for someone with a dedication and love for seagoing classics? Take a look and you'll be impressed by the gleaming rails, the polished fittings, the classic lines, and the warm woods and joinery throughout. She appears as nearly original, with upgrades where they matter.

Built in fiberglass at a time when great care was given to ensure that the boats would be both revolutionarily tough but every bit as lovely as their wooden predecessors.

Well-equipped with rebuilt GM Detroit diesels and a documented history of attentive care she's ready to cruise. With a great galley, roomy and comfortable cabins, an expansive salon, and a regal bridgedeck with a commanding view of all around she's a joy to be aboard.
