This Westerbeke literally sips fuel---very fuel efficient! She does not have an hour meter, but the previous owner sold her with 500 hours to the present owner/seller who estimates that he has put 100-150 hours on her in the three years that he has owned her. At 600-650 hours, that makes her a nice low-hour boat!!

This Com-Pac 25 was built using the highest quality materials, and most modern techniques available in the fiberglass reinforced plastics (FRP) industry. She was built using the "hand lay-up" method, meaning every square inch of the boat was made by placing template-cut pieces of controlled thickness fiberglass sheets on a mold, allowing consistency in the weight and thickness of the final product. This technique also produces a product with a much better quality/cost trade-off for the owner of the boat. The hull and deck on the Com-Pac 25 are joined both mechanically and chemically using an "outside flange system", with the hull and deck joined with an application of a marine adhesive sealant. The two pieces are then through-bolted, and covered by a protective rubrail, resulting in a solid product. Finally, the finish on the Com-Pac is a high quality gel-coat known as NPG (neo-pentyl glycol), which provides a harder, brighter finish that resists ultraviolet light, blistering, and corrosion, for a long lasting finish that will keep this boat looking "like new" for years to come! The LOA (length over all) measures 28 feet, including the bow sprit and swim ladder. Under Hull Configuration, above, the closest description option choice was "long keel", but the builder of the Com-Pac 25, Hutchins Marine, describes it as a "shoal keel"!

When you hear the Com-Pac 25 referred to as a "big twenty-five footer", that praise comes as a result of how the builders were able to design a 25 foot vessel that can sleep five people in comfort, provide standing headroom, include an L-shaped galley and a private enclosed head with shower, to insure a positive ownership experience that usually is only achieved in a bigger boat!!

This vessel is an ideal choice for those wanting to move up or scale down. Her midsize gives her easy handling, with no sacrifice in creature comfort! At the end of the cruising season, you can trailer her home on her double axle trailer. On deck, this vessel is finished in traditional Com-Pac fashion, with bronze opening ports and cleats, mid-boom main sheet traveler with all sail control lines led aft for easy handling, and a protective heavy duty rigid vinyl rubrail with stainless steel striker plate. The stainless steel bowsprit with a built-in anchor roller makes anchor handling less strenuous. Below decks, you discover a warm, inviting atmosphere, rich with teak and bronze. She sleeps five nicely, and offers the privacy of a fully enclosed head with shower. Her underwater design makes her fast, stable, and close-winded, and at the helm, she is nimble and responsive.
