Present owner purchased in August 2009 as a bare hull with cabin and engine. Fitted out 2009-2011.
Hull completely restored when empty. All rust removed, painted in Owatrol/rylards mix and subsequently checked and re-painted
Sprayfoam insulation, lined in 6mm exterior ply plus tongue & groove.
Portholes are double glazed, by Caldwells.
Hull sprayfoam insulated (websters) to a depth of 2" from turn of bilge to cabin roof
Surveyed out of water and repairs done. Sandblasted at water line and given 6 coats of rylards all around. In March 2011 she was out at Eel Pie Island and re-checked/repainted all over. Out again in Uxbridge 2013. Docked and repainted April 2015. Now in need of some replating work on the bottom (NOTE - sides and chines are not in need of repair - replating small areas of the bottom is a much easier task). 2009 survey available for inspection.

Will require new wheelhouse awning (quoted at £300).
The hull was substantially overplated. Hull plating is now 3.4mm-6mm, so some overplating will be required in the near future, but this is normal for a vessel of this age.

Broker's Comments

Described by surveyor as 'very pretty boat, ideal for the French canals' , this historic Boltjalk was built in Northern Holland 1909.
Priced to sell, this marvellous liveaboard is perfect for a couple or family.
Mostly refurbished, there is still some work to be done, but the thrill of maintaining an historic vessel such as this is worth the challenge to the right owner.
Early viewing recommended.
