Designed by Bill Dixon, the Mk I Moody 31 was built from late 1983 to the end of 1985, at which time it was superseded by the Mk II, which was very similar, the main difference, apart from some minor alterations to the interior, being the addition of a sugar scoop stern.
Production continued until 1991, by which time over 300 had been built in total. As standard the boats were tiller-steered but wheel steering was an option.
Unlike the earlier generation Moodys, which used a lot of exposed GRP and laminate, the Moody 31s have a fairly traditional and 'woody' interior
This vessel has had her hull soda blasted and the epoxy faired in 2016, She benefits from a galvanic isolator too. She was lifted out and hull scrubbed July 2017.

Broker's Comments

These boat details are subject to contract.
One of the most popular of the Moodys, the 31 has excellent accommodation including a good-sized aft double cabin. This Moody 31 appears to have been loved and maintained to a high standard by her current owners who bought her in 2009. This is an ideal boat for new and seasoned sailors alike. Great accommodation, creature comforts and a sure footed sailing boat too. A great all rounder with a fantastic pedigree.
Note: Offers on the asking price may be considered.
