Loads of upgrades and extras! Rope cutter: heavy duty "Spurs", Dripless shaft seal - new 2010, new shaft - 2010, R&D flexible shaft/coupling - new 2010. Transmission: Borg-Warner Velvet drive. Xantrex 1000w Inverter. Items replaced 2012: Starter and solenoid, Engine Heat exchanger, both oil coolers, exhaust elbow. All through hulls and valves changed in 2005. Batteries: 4 - 6v Trojan T-105 house batteries (450 amp hours), new 2011, 1 - 12v start battery. 160 amp Balmar alternator charges batteries with engine running. Solar panel w/ regulator: Kyocera KC85T (87 watts), new 2011. Engine spares include: orig. alternator, engine water pump, orig. starter, heat exchanger, injector lines, lift pump and misc extras.

Nauticats have a single-skin, strong, solid GRP hull. All of the internal bulkheads are laminated as well as the internal framework (wardrobes, storage, etc) are laminated to the hull to produce a very strong, quiet, and smooth boat even in rough seas. Actual LOA 35'7", including bow sprit LOA is 39'.5". Owner describes keel as: full keel with cut away forefoot. Water and holding tanks are stainless steel.

Aft stateroom with ensuite head has good storage and light from several windows. Forward and up two steps, you enter the pilothouse. There is a removable table which may be exchanged for a captain's chair, L-shaped settee and single sitting area with a fold down table which could double as a chart table. The helm station has 360 degree view and a sunroof above giving the pilot house a very spacious feeling. Moving forward and down two steps to the galley, a U-shaped settee and table are port with a chart holder above and book shelves make the area a cozy spot to entertain or relax. Hot water is a "Junkers" on demand propane system located in the galley and plumbed to both heads. There is also a Nature Pure water system below the side-by-side sink. The guest cabin and day head are forward of the galley; both have ample room, storage, and provide privacy. Upholstery throughout was updated 2002 and new curtains in 2004.

Portland Pudgy dinghy with sail kit is extremely buoyant, stable and easy to row, motor or sail your way to safety even in rugged waters. Trident propane detection system w/ auto trip shutoff, 8 lifejackets (2 inflatable vests, 2 inflatable belts), throwable PFD, lifesling w/ block and tackle. Bilge pumps: Rule 3700 monitor w/ cycle counter (owner indicates has never seen any cycles registered - bilges are very clean and dry!). 3 fire extinguishers, engine compartment Halon Ext. system, Visual Distress signals: 2 flare guns w/ flares and distress flag. 1st Aid Kit.

Broker's Comments

This Nauticat 36 is well suited for long-range cruising or enjoying the Pacific Northwest waters year 'round. The cabin is warmed with Espar forced air diesel-fired heat for cooler days. The pilothouse affords excellent visibility at the helm and is well lit with lots of windows and sunroof. She is fully equipped with extensive navigation aids, 6 sails, 3 anchors, Portland Pudgy dinghy with sail kit is extremely buoyant, stable; to name a few of the features. The interior teak is in beautiful condition, there is good storage throughout, the head room ranges from 67" in the aft cabin to 76" in the PH and forward guest cabin.

It is easy and comfortable to move about the decks to manage the sails and pilot from the upper helm. This boat has only had two owners who have evidently kept her well-maintained, which will be truly evident when you visit her. An extensive maintenance log, kept since new, is available when an offer is received.
