Broker's Comments

Looking for a sturdy cruiser/racer on a budget? Look no further folks! I have been poking about on the web and can find nothing but praise for these well designed, well made sailing beasties.

You can see from her lines that she is designed to clip along, and from what I've read they tramp along in a blow, and are very dry boats.

She came second in the singlehanded class in the 1983 AZAB, taking just 11 days out and 14 days back.

HUGE plus points are a Beta engine, fitted new in 2004 but hardly used since then, with very low hours, and standing rigging which was replaced in 2006, together with a new boom and rod kicker. Her rudder is off at the moment, but the owner says he'll get the engineers to put it back before a new owner takes delivery. All good stuff!

Down below she’s a little basic, but nothing that a bit of imagination and some basic skills can’t bring into the 21st century. If was buying her I’d modernise the electronics and have a good old go at the galley. She needs some new cabin cushions, but look on the bright side – at least you get to pick the colour!

So a bit of tlc and a good scrub, and you’ve got yourself a bargain! See you on the next Round the Island Race?
