Wahl Trollers are extremely well constructed and highly regarded deep keeled designs. Constructed of bent oak frames with Wolmanized fir planking. This vessel has been fully restored over the past 20 years -- there is no area aboard that does not look new. The engine beds that mount the Cat Diesel are stainless and the engine compartment looks like a hospital operating room. This craft is perfect for the wooden boat purist who enjoys the simple traditional boating life, yet is thrilled by the meticulous detail of a "spare nothing" restoration. This troller is a fully functional work boat that can be utilized for it's intended purpose fishing coastal waters commercially... Most recently she has undergone a summer of refinish top to bottom, also a porthole was added in the aft galley wall, and the Cat is now totally broken in and the initial first full servicing is complete... She is ready to go...

Broker's Comments

This remarkable vessel is a "one of a kind" fishing troller transformed into a cozy live-aboard capable cruiser. She has been a labor of love for her seller, who has spent many years and many dollars converting a sturdy Wahl fishing troller into an unbelievably lovely yacht. No effort was spared to make her a true gem that will gleam among all the plastic boats at any marina. Beneath the lovely teak joinery and fine finishes she is of the sturdiest classic workboat construction and her new owners can enjoy the boat with great confidence and pride in her capabilities. The owner has made several very good lifelong friends during this restoration journey...

There are boats that work and boats that play. Increasingly the workboat appearance has become popular for modern recreational trawlers. This custom Wahl 39 Troller combines the very best of both types and will be attractive to those looking for a truly unique yacht with real workboat bones.
Some call them Trawlers, she is an authentic Troller ready to go fishing... With little effort this troller can be put anywhere in coastal waters and utilized as a commercial fishing vessel to capture the beauty of operating a piece of woodworking art as well as making it pay for the effort...
