The Westerly Corsair is widely regarded as having excellent light airs performance and astonishing interior volume. Some 106 MK1’s were built between 1983 and 1986 followed on by about another 50 MKII’s. Meeting with the owner onboard I can confirm that for a boat of just under 36’ the room below is incredibly spacious. And I doubt that many 36 footers have a full stand up workshop (with light and window) in the cockpit locker providing ample stowage for all those bulky items plus a work bench! Please note that my photos do not include the cushions and upholstery as the owner has thoughtfully removed them all for safe and dry winter storage. Above decks the treadmaster decking is generally in pretty good shape, the topsides in remarkably good condition for the age of the boat and really all she might need is some minor cosmetic work down below – the headlinings are in good shape apart from those in a couple of lockers (easily fixed). In summary this is one heck of a lot of comfortable, spacious boat with a good track record.
