Broker's Comments

When the Westerly Griffon was launched it was the first boat that the, then, "hot shot" young designer, Ed Dubois had produced for Westerlys.
When compared to the ubiquitous Centaur it must have looked quite radical at the time and still to this day The Griffon is so much a better boat in so many ways.
The little design features like the fold-away saloon table, the slide-out, saloon double berth make these boats seem so spacious and with all the storage on offer they are positively voluminous.
This Mk 1 is a really excellent example that has been extensively overhauled and maintained over the last few years.
Everything is well presented and seems in good order. Even the original MD7 engine is one of the smoothest runners of this type that I have heard for many a year and believe me I have heard plenty of old Volvo engines in my time.
All in all a great example of the very popular Griffon. I suggest you call and book an early appointment to view as I suspect she won't be with us for long.
