Broker's Comments

When, at the 1994 London Boat Show, I first set eyes on the centre cockpit version of the Westerly Oceanquest 35, it took my breath away. It offered a level of accommodation that seemed almost decadent for the time. After the cramped confines of lesser cruisers, the huge after cabin, with its island double berth was unimaginably luxurious. And the saloon had armchairs! And look at the teak cabinets in the saloon and cabins! It was an Ed Dubois design, so it was going to sail well, of course. After a couple of decades this example still looks great, and has had plenty of upgrades during that time, notably upholstery, headlining, a replacement engine and teak decks. These yachts are much sought-after for good reason, and don't come up all that often, so don't delay if it fits your wish-list. Another one may not be along all that soon.
