Broker's Comments

The Solway is a bilge keeled sister to the Westerly Conway and although there was a sloop version the ketch rig was much more popular, being easier to handle before furling sails were commonplace.

With a centre cockpit and access to the aft cabin from below (a first for Westerly) she is extremely spacious above and below deck. There were four layout options at build however there were then numerous individual modifications and this particular example has a bosun's locker aft of the chart table and a separate 2nd heads compartment just ahead of the aft cabin making her perfect for family or 2 couples to cruise in comfort

You can tell she has always been well cared for and has been upgraded and maintained by knowledgeable owners. An engine system, standing rigging, batteries and chargers and most of the electronics have been replaced within the last 10 years and although like all boats there is always work to be done it appears that all major expenditure items have been taken care of. She is well equipped and will be out of the water for survey late April 2016 when she will be scrubbed and put back ready for the season
