In my opinion one of the really great designs from Westerly! The idea was originally for a one design racing boat, but with the added bonus of being a comfortable family performance cruiser. She has superb accommodation – a chum of mine shared one of these with a friend, they bought her for performance - but also because she has a cracking after cabin and a decent forecabin so two couples can share in comfort.
Make no mistake folks – she is a powerful boat, but what build quality! What sturdy reliability! Just look at the width of the side decks and the really safe and robust cockpit. It’s no wonder these boats hold their price.
She is in great condition, and of course she is in use. A big advantage to buying a half share in this beauty is that the other owner knows her inside out – so the learning curve ain’t quite so steep when you take her out for the first time, and of course she is fully equipped and ready to go.
Half the bills and all the enjoyment. Sounds like a good plan to me.
Give me a ring here at Boatshed Port Solent, and we’ll get in the dinghy and go for a visit!
