Once again I am taking my life in my hands for the love of the job. This assignment to photograph and comment on a brand new, albeit three year old Windy Kamsin 34.

First I have to evade a three legged guard dog who’s quite frankly not very happy about it! The boat thank goodness is no three legged dog. Having evaded the mutt whos chain is fortunately two foot short of the boundary, I was able to take stock of the situation. In fact this boat has been in stock for three years, it is the remnant of a failed boat dealership now in the hands of a friend of Boatshed Algarve. This boat has never been in the water and apart from a little dust from the yard is in perfect fettle. This is the first time I have inspected a Windy my perception before boarding was of a high quality build reputation allied to reliable Scandinavian engineering. I was certainly not disappointed, in fact the interior woodwork and upholstery is more Bentley than Volvo. Camper cover is of significant quality being made and proudly badged by Helly Hansen. Bags of room on deck, for lounging entertaining and safe speed cruising from this beamy beauty queen. This boat has been priced well below list to move and unlike the unfortunate hound in the yard, a new home will I am sure soon be forthcoming.
